Hi there! Growing up, my parents told me that I was a picky eater. I even had an 'I don’t like it dance’ that I did while chewing foods I didn’t like. As I got older, I decided that I did not want to be identified as a picky eater and learned to like a wide variety of plants. As a mother of two children and a registered dietitian, I really enjoy working with kids and their adults to build a better relationship with food. When my kids were toddlers, I often was trying to tell them fun facts about foods to encourage them to eat a rainbow of plants. When I did tell them a fun fact, often my daughter would say, "Tell me a story about that". I quickly realized that fun facts are great, but stories were even better. So, one day I decided to tell a story about a bacterium that helps make poop. This idea grew into the Feed Biffie book and a fun way for me to remind my kids to feed Biffie and his friends. Have you fed Biffie today?
